A measured building survey is an essential element to get an accurate representation of the building and this can be backed up with elevations and sections presented as scaled survey drawings. The survey specification will give you all the relevant structural elements and architectural details and will be presented as floor plans, elevations and section drawings.

A Topographical survey will give you an actual representation of a building structure or site showing its existing features either on or around the earth’s surface. Information on the site being mapped such as trees position and heights, buildings, accurate boundary positions, drainage, pathways, kerbs, footpaths, manholes, utility points, retaining walls, etc.

Area calculations give you the accurate measurement of the legal extent of a building for various legal purposes. These cover residential properties, retail warehouses, industrial buildings, etc. We can use either the RICS code of measuring practice or and the International Property Measurement Standards (IPMS) to prepare assignable area measurement reports.

DG&S provide you detailed information by doing systematic measurements which discover any vertical or horizontal movement of a building structure and any deformation caused from natural features or earthworks to the highest order of accuracy.

A lease plan is essentially a scaled metric drawing that identifies a leasehold demise within a property representing exactly what area is included within the lease. This is service regularly provided by DG&S to both commercial property clients and the legal profession for Land Registration, Lease Plans, Gaming and Licensing.

We provide the highest level of accuracy by using the latest technology and total station on our setting-out projects. In general, we do setting-out on construction sites to stake out reference points and markers that will guide the construction of a new structure.
